Reproducibility of slice-interleaved T1 (STONE) mapping sequence
نویسندگان
چکیده
Background Slice interleaved T1 mapping sequence (STONE) allows quantification of native T1 of the entire ventricle in a single free-breathing scan. Using this sequence, data acquisition for different slices are interleaved, allowing longer recovery time after the inversion pulse, which could result in improved accuracy and precision. However, measurement reproducibility of the STONE sequence has not been previously studied. In this study, we sought to assess native T1 measurement reproducibility a) within session, b) between sessions and c) between days.

Reproducibility of free-breathing multi-slice native myocardial T1 mapping using the slice-interleaved T1 (STONE) sequence
Background Quantitative myocardial T1 mapping is a promising technique for assessment of interstitial diffuse fibrosis. Recently, a novel T1 mapping sequence for free-breathing, multi-slice, myocardial T1 mapping using the sliceinterleaved T1 (STONE) has been developed [1], which was shown to provide superior accuracy compared to MOLLI [2]. However, in-vivo reproducibility and precision of this...
متن کاملBlood T1 measurements using slice-interleaved T1 mapping (STONE) sequence
Background Slice interleaved T1 (STONE) mapping sequence was recently proposed to take advantage of increased recovery time of spins to improve accuracy and precision of native myocardial T1 values. In this sequence, a nonselective inversion pulse is followed by acquisition of the data for different slices. Therefore, blood pool may experience different recovery time at different slice location...
متن کاملDiffuse Myocardial Fibrosis detected by Multi-slice T1 Mapping using Slice Interleaved T1 (STONE) Sequence in Patients with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy
Background The presence of myocardial fibrosis is associated with worse clinical outcome in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) patients. Due to the substantial variations in left ventricular (LV) wall thickness and fibrosis in HCM, volumetric coverage of entire LV myocardium is essential for the accurate assessment of myocardial fibrosis. Slice-interleaved T1 (STONE) mapping sequence allows for ...
متن کاملFree-breathing multislice native myocardial T1 mapping using the slice-interleaved T1 (STONE) sequence.
PURPOSE To develop a novel pulse sequence for free-breathing, multislice, native myocardial T1 mapping. METHODS The slice-interleaved T1 (STONE) sequence consists of multiple sets of single-shot images of different slices, acquired after a single nonselective inversion pulse. Each slice is only selectively excited once after each inversion pulse to allow sampling of the unperturbed longitudin...
متن کاملReproducibility of slice-interleaved myocardial T2 mapping sequences
Background Myocardial T2 mapping sequence allows quantitative assessment of myocardial edema and inflammation. Commonly, a series of T2 weighted images with steadystate free-precession (SSFP) are acquired after T2 magnetization preparation (T2Prep) with different echo times. Conventionally, a single slice per breath-hold is acquired to image one single slice. Because inflammation/edema is often...
